Professionals
Different areas of knowledge. One person understood as a whole.
Human life is shaped by different dimensions, relationships, stories and contexts. That is why care may involve different professional fields, respecting each person's needs and the scope of practice of each field.
Each person is unique, but never isolated.
Understanding a person in an integrative way means considering their uniqueness without disconnecting it from their story, their relationships and the contexts that shape their life.
These dimensions relate to one another and can influence each other.
Contextual and cultural
Relational and family

To personalize is to understand before proposing paths.
Personalized care does not mean looking at the person in isolation. It means recognizing their story, resources, needs, relationships, values, contexts, potential and goals.
Each professional works within their competence and their technical, ethical and legal boundaries.
Uniqueness without isolation. Responsibility without blame.
Areas of knowledge that can come together around the person.

Referral Network
A network of legally qualified professionals from different fields, to whom referrals may be made when the needs of the person, couple or family go beyond the scope of integrative therapeutic support. Referral Network services may be provided in person or online, depending on the nature of the service, professional qualification and applicable conditions.
Fields of the Referral Network
Examples of professional fields that may be part of the Referral Network, subject to availability and credentialing:
- Psychology

- Nutrition
- Nutrology

- Physical Education
- Other fields compatible with Integral Well-Being
The professional composition may vary according to each Consulado da Família® and the network's availability.
To integrate is to cooperate while respecting boundaries.
An integrative approach does not erase the differences between professions. Each field has its own competences, responsibilities and limits. When different areas of knowledge take part in care, integration must happen with clear roles, responsibility and respect for applicable standards.
Working as a network does not mean overlapping competences.

Specialized professional care

Respect for what also gives meaning to life.
For some people, spirituality and faith are important resources for meaning, hope, belonging and coping. When relevant to the person and pertinent to the context of care, these dimensions may be considered with respect, freedom of conscience and within applicable professional limits.
The Embaixada da Família® welcomes people from different religious traditions, expressions of faith and spiritualities, as well as those with no religious affiliation.
Professional training, methodology and network: different roles.
Professional qualification
Training, professional qualification and, where applicable, professional registration determine which activities each professional is legally and technically authorized to perform.
Methodological training and certification
The Instituto I.M.A.G.E.M.® is responsible for methodological development and may offer training and certification related to the methodologies within its scope.
Methodological certification does not replace a degree, professional qualification, registration with a professional board or other applicable legal requirements.
Network accreditation
The Embaixada da Família® sets institutional criteria for accrediting professionals who wish to join its network.
Network accreditation does not expand the legal scope of practice of any profession.
Instituto I.M.A.G.E.M.® Develops knowledge, methodology, training and methodological certification.

Caring for the whole person also means knowing when to cooperate.
No single field of knowledge needs to respond alone to every dimension of human experience. A responsible network recognizes competences, respects limits and creates possibilities for cooperation around the person.
