Why we exist
Caring for life before everything becomes a crisis.
The Embaixada da Família® starts from the understanding that care does not need to begin only when there is illness, rupture or intense suffering.
People, couples and families can also develop resources, strengthen relationships, broaden awareness, make more responsible choices and cultivate a life with greater meaning and purpose.
Our perspective does not begin with illness, but it does not ignore suffering when it exists.
Caring also means strengthening what is still healthy and can keep growing.
Our history
A story that began with leadership and found the family at its center.
2005
The Latin American Leadership Academy is founded by José C. Campos and Carla S. Campos. From the beginning, leadership development was not understood only in terms of performance or results. Health, relationships, family, spirituality, responsibilities and the impact of professional and ministerial life were also part of that understanding.
2005 to 2022
Experiences, studies, programs and practices gradually broadened this perspective.
2023
This process of institutional maturity gives rise to the Embaixada da Família® identity, placing people, relationships and families at the center of an Integral Well-Being approach.
Network development
As the network develops, the Consulados da Família® emerge as the local presence of this vision in communities.

The trajectory of the Embaixada da Família® begins from a shared purpose: to strengthen people, couples and families, uniting professional experience, knowledge, human development and commitment to society.
Carla S. Campos
Founder and President of the Instituto I.M.A.G.E.M.®
Cocreator of the Método I.M.A.G.E.M.®
She has 34 years of experience in Clinical Psychology. She is a doctoral candidate in Psychology at UCES, Argentina, with postgraduate studies in Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, as well as a specialization in Sport Psychology.
A speaker and author, she leads the Instituto I.M.A.G.E.M.®, dedicated to research, development, training and the organization of knowledge related to the Método I.M.A.G.E.M.®.
José C. Campos
Founder and President of the Embaixada da Família®
Cocreator of the Método I.M.A.G.E.M.®
He is a systemic couples therapist, a Psychology undergraduate at PUC Minas, a clinical vocational counselor, business consultant, speaker and author.
He served as State Director of Social Reintegration for People with Chemical Dependency and has experience in leadership, interpersonal relationships and human development. At the head of the Embaixada da Família®, he works on the structuring, governance and expansion of the Consulado da Família® network.

The Embaixada da Família® structures, strengthens and expands the network of Consulados. The Instituto I.M.A.G.E.M.® researches, develops, organizes knowledge and promotes training related to the Método I.M.A.G.E.M.®.
With their own institutional responsibilities, the two organizations cooperate to promote development and contribute to people, families and communities.

How we understand the person
The person as a whole.
No single dimension fully explains a person.
That is why our perspective considers the biological, Soul, social and spiritual dimensions in an integrated way.
Biological
Body, health, habits, sleep, movement and physical care.
Soul
Thoughts, emotions, behavioral tendencies, personal history, self-perception and inner resources.
Social
Relationships, family, work, community and social participation.
Spiritual
Meaning, purpose, values, transcendence and healthy spirituality.
Not everything is biological. Not everything is of the Soul. Not everything is social. Not everything is spiritual. A person needs to be understood as a whole.
Family and relationships
Family as a place of belonging, care, responsibility and growth.
We understand the family as a system of relationships in which different generations influence one another, learn, care, take on responsibilities and build stories together.
Strengthening families does not mean preserving any relationship at any cost.
Safety, dignity, healthy boundaries and protection remain essential. Situations of violence, abuse, coercion or risk require appropriate care and, when necessary, specialized professional support.
The Embaixada da Família® welcomes different family circumstances with dignity and respect.
Spirituality, faith and freedom of conscience
Spirituality that respects, connects and deepens meaning.
We recognize spirituality as an important dimension of human experience, related to meaning, purpose, values, hope and belonging. For many people, faith is also a source of meaning and of coping in the face of difficulties.
We welcome people of different religious traditions, expressions of faith and spiritualities, as well as those with no religious affiliation, always with respect for freedom of conscience. Taking part in the network's programs and experiences never depends on religious adherence.
Healthy spirituality is also expressed in recognizing the dignity of others, and in empathy, compassion, altruism and care for others.
- Healthy spirituality does not mean religious imposition or proselytism.
- We do not use spiritual guilt, coercion or control as instruments of care.
- Nor do we reduce human problems exclusively to the spiritual dimension or use spirituality as an improper substitute for professional care.
Téleios
Maturity as a path.
The Embaixada da Família® understands maturity as a continuous process of development.
The concept of Téleios (Greek) = Perfect, associated with maturity, wholeness, growth and purpose, does not associate perfection with the absence of difficulties, but with movement toward maturity, wholeness and the fulfillment of purpose.
We do not seek the absence of flaws. We seek growth and maturity.
